Episode 18 - Hyde and Seek

In this week's episode, our first with video, Ryan and Paul discuss the recent call-ups of OF Kyle Stowers and LHP DL Hall as well as the (hopefully) impending debut of INF Gunnar Henderson, expectations for these players moving forward, and the learning curve that comes with a promotion from the minor leagues to the majors. In addition, SS Jorge Mateo has been one of baseball's best infielders over the past two months and may have inserted his name firmly into the Orioles' future plans. Brandon Hyde will be in consideration for American League Manager of the Year, but is he holding the Orioles back with his recent decision-making?

Episode 17 - Wet, Wild, and Whistling

This week, we talk about Felix Bautista's awesome new entrance featuring the Omar Little whistle from The Wire, Paul missing a post-rain delay comeback because he has responsibilities, GM Mike Elias and Assistant GM Sig Mejdal hanging out in the seating bowl with fans, and Paul's latest article on Eutaw Street Report. We also take some questions from listeners, Ryan regrettably brings up DJ Stewart, and the Orioles tie the Rays for the third Wild Card spot right before we sign off.

Episode 16 - The Return

The podcast is back and will now feature a regular co-host. Paul Valle III joins me for the announcement of the return of Give That Fan a Podcast. In this episode, we pay tribute to Vin Scully, discuss the Orioles trade deadline moves, recap a very fun series against the Texas Rangers, and take a look at some recent trends with the O's offense.

Episode 15 - On Rebuilding and Mike Elias

This one's pretty simple. I'm tired of explaining to people what this rebuild is all about, so I made a podcast about it. I touch on the player personnel moves Elias has made since 2018, everything going on in the Minor Leagues, player development, analytics, the importance of the international market, and so on. Episode 14 - Opening Day

In this episode, I return from another unanticipated month-long break to celebrate Opening Day by answering some questions from my Twitter followers. I break down the 26-man roster and my expectations for the guys on the team, give a few hot takes, and talk a bit about the future of the podcast and my plan to open it up to other fans. A few over/unders, my favorite for Orioles MVP, possible prospect debuts this season, and my hope for the June first-year player draft are all answered here. Spoiler alert: I don't think John Means will be the Orioles' best starting pitcher this year.

Episode 13 - Kevin Brown

One of the voices of the Orioles, MASN play-by-play announcer Kevin Brown, joins me on the podcast this week as the O's begin their Spring Training games. We discuss his plans for this season, his relationships with MASN personalities past and present, his back-and-forth with Red Sox broadcaster Dennis Eckersley, how he prepares for his broadcasts, and much more including thoughts on the current team.

Episode 12 - Matt Blood

The Orioles' Director of Player Development, Matt Blood, joins this week's podcast to talk about the progress being made down on the farm. We touch on just about everything, from organizational philosophy to data and analytics to the difficulties associated with returning to a full baseball schedule. Blood drops a few names of prospects that he believes deserve some more love in an episode that will surely get you excited for the future of the O's.

Episode 11 - Keith Law

The Athletic's Keith Law joins me this week to take me through the thought process that led him to ranking the much-improved Orioles farm system just 18th in baseball, much to the chagrin of many O's fans. We discuss several current Orioles prospects ranked in Law's top 20, the importance of trusting your own evaluations, the value in the international scouting market, and much more.

Episode 10 - Dillon & Danny

After the holiday break turned into a life-induced hiatus, I'm back and I brought a couple friends along for this episode. You might know Dillon Atkinson and Danny Majerowicz from their days on the O's Uncensored podcast; I know them as OK slow pitch softball players. In Episode 10, we discuss some recent transactions, dive into some prospect talk, and share our thoughts on the Orioles' activity in the international market. I also tease a few of the big guests I'll have on the show in the next month.

Episode 09 - Todd Fitz-Gerald

In the third and final episode featuring interviews with the former coaches of recent Orioles' draft picks, Stoneman Douglas High School's Todd Fitz-Gerald joins me to discuss 2020 4th round pick, Coby Mayo. We talk about the strengths and weaknesses in Coby's game and what makes him a special talent. In the preceding minutes, I reminisce on the Frederick Keys and discuss how the Orioles were impacted by last week's Rule 5 Draft.
